Omnilux: In The Light of Rejuvenation

Dermatologists have, over the past two years, been incorporating the latest LED technology into the successful treatment of wrinkles and other effects of aging. They have been making use of the Omnilux range which is now being produced and re-packaged especially for the home market and sold as the Omnilux new-U. Light emitting diodes from the Omnilux new-U improve the tone of the skin and help to stimulate anti-aging processes, with the FDA approving the Omnilux new-U for the treatment of periorbital wrinkles especially. The Omnilux new-U is manufactured by Photo Therapeutics Inc, a company which specialises in light therapy and which was incorporated in 1998, following its patented Paterson Lamp.
This new technological advance relied on photodynamic therapy which was the culmination of the research by the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology [UMIST]. The source of the Omnilux new-U therapy is the infrared and red light treatments which take place over a period of four weeks, with two sessions a week. Weill Medical College of Cornell University undertook clinical trials to establish how much periorbital wrinkle reduction occurred when using the Omnilux new-U. The study was carried out by Neil Sadick from Cornell University’s Department of Dermatology in
Neil Sadick recorded that, following a full course of treatment with the Omnilux new-U, skin showed improvements in smoothness, clarity, elasticity and tone. The CEO of Photo Therapeutics, Sue D’Arcy has been reported as being very pleased that their light therapy technology continues to have a positive application in the field of dermatology. She is noted to be particularly pleased with the way the Omnilux new-U has performed under trials and is absolutely delighted that Photo Therapeutics have been licenced by the FDA to offer the Omnilux new-U to the general public without recourse for a prescription. The Omnilux new-U is suitable for the treatment of wrinkle reduction and the effects of aging, skin rejuvenation, psoriasis and the treatment of acne, wound healing, and photodynamic therapy.
