These you are born with and whilst you some can be cured, many all you can do is control the symptoms which makes you appear free of problems. Some skin disorders are infact caused by bacteria that live on the skin. Much bacteria on the skin is harmless to us as long as they remain only on the surface. Some bacteria can cause problems however, blemishes, rashes, reactions that can result in both discomfort and an embarrassing appearance. Once this has happened there are solutions, but for many people prevention rather than cure has become the ethos.
Many skin treatments have begun to be more and more popular in recent times. Medical microdermabrasion is a procedure for the skin that allows removes dead skin. Effectivly diamond chips “vacuum” the dead skin from the surface, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It is one of the skin treatments that actually feels really quite nice. I did a search for botox injection Brentwood and found a local clinic that offered what I was looking for. However, after speaking to them I actually decided not to (more…)

Menopause, even hearing the word can strike fear in the hearts of any woman approaching that cornerstone in her life. There’s so much written about it, and these days when things are more out in the open than they used to be, there’s more talked about what the signs and implications of menopause can be, and how it affects your appearance – including your skin. That’s right, it doesn’t just play havoc with your emotions, you’re also a possible candidate for being revisited by the adolescent skin care evil of acne! Yes, you can get acne all over again!

One of the signs that perhaps your mood changes are more than PMS can be a change in the condition of your skin, especially if you’re not usually prone to blemishes. Be vigilant in looking out for things such as blackheads because if these are an uncommon occurrence in your skin, they can be a good indication of impending menopause. But this isn’t the only skin issue you’ll deal with, many women experience a dryness or thinning in their genital area.

Your body is probably going to totally rebel against everything you try doing, so try making sure it has plenty of water. Water is the one thing that the body won’t reject and/or use against you! Most people find that their skin tends to dry out. Lotions may help but some women find that their skin has become ultra sensitive and so you could have to try a number of different brands to find one that doesn’t irritate your skin and make it worse. Itchy skin may also become a problem but this could also relate to it being dehydrated – increase your water intake, try hydrating skin creams, avoid soap and if nothing else works, you may need to see your doctor for a special cream to clear this up. Menopausal flushing is another skin issue, this is when reddening of the face or neck occurs – it could be more noticeable to you than it is to anyone else, so just keep your cool and let it recede. Getting flustered will only make it more noticeable to others.

If all of this wasn’t enough, you may have started noticing tiny pieces of skin flaps hanging around your body. They normally occur on eyelids, under arms, upper chest and other areas. These are known as skin tags and are usually harmless. However sometimes they can become irritated and need to be removed by a process of your doctor organizing to have it frozen off or sutured.

Menopause comes in various intensities and until it hits you, you won’t know how much it’s going to affect your body. If you are one of the unlucky ones who does show visible skin signs of menopause, don’t stress about it – it’s one of those life phases that just has to be endured and one day it will pass, and if the symptoms of it get too bad, have a word with your doctor as they may be able to help relieve some of them.

And ignorance combined with narcissism result in my amazement at celebrities these days! I mean how can anyone actually be proud to be dating Paris? I know he gets attention, sort of, but if I were him I really wouldn’t enjoy that kind of attention! If I were him I wouldn’t be dating Paris, and if I absolutely had to date her, I would certainly sell my soul to the devil before I’d let anyone find out about it! But hey, who am I to judge pure, superficial love?

Honey is a natural humectant, which means it has the ability to attract and retain moisture. The skin’s ability to stay moist (or hydrated) is an important factor in its ability to maintain softness, suppleness and elasticity. As skin ages, or as it is exposed to environmental stresses and chemical agents, it loses its ability to retain water; it becomes dry and appears wrinkled. Honey’s natural hydrating properties make it ideal for use in moisturizing products.

Soothing Skin Clarifier (for minor acne flare-ups)

Mix 1/2 cup warm water with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Using a cotton ball, apply directly to blemish. Maintain pressure with cotton ball for several minutes, to soften blemish. Using a cotton swab, dab honey on blemish; leave on 10 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

Firming Facial Mask

Whisk together 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon glycerin (available at drug and beauty stores) and enough flour to form a paste. Smooth over face and throat. Leave on 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Hair Conditioner

Mix 1/2 cup honey with 1/4 cup olive oil. (Use 2 tablespoons oil for normal to oily hair.) Using a small amount at a time, work mixture through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Remove shower cap; shampoo well and rinse. Dry as normal.

Its normal to be mad! A few weeks passed since you are using the ultimate product on the market and you still cant see any results. The causes could be multiple: it cant adapt to your skin, it doesnt contain any special ingredients or your expectations were too high.

My advice is to always buy something which is easy to use even if you buy the whole range of products for skin care.If you have to remove your makeup, apply a beauty mask, wash it with warm water, apply a night moisturizer then a day moisturizer and finally apply an eye cream, you will probably quit your job and stay at home so you can do all those steps every day. Nobody has time for that every day, you need something that works fast and takes at most 15 minutes. Just go and buy a vitamin and hydrating moisturizer and a beauty mask which has to be applied once a week.

Do remember that if its made from natural ingredients you have few chances to get a rash from it. Maybe natural products are more expensive but your skin sure deserves it.

Price does not indicate quality all the time so you dont have to spend a fortune for cosmetics (unless you are a star and you make a fortune a day). Also remember that if the product is suitable for your type of skin and its applied daily, you will se results.

Sun and pollution also have a negative influence on our skin; they help the body create free radicals which lead to premature aging. Specialists recommend using antioxidant products to prevent skin aging. Intensive hydrating treatments and vitamin A help the reconstruction of collagen and elastin(two important components of our skin).Vitamin c accelerate the production of collagen and elastin and coenzyme Q10 is essential to maintain the normal skin functions.
Try to include those in your daily skin treatment and it wont be too affected by the environment.

Are your meals composed mostly on complex carbohydrates like potatoes, sugar and white bread? If this is true, your face will pay for this. Specialists say that complex carbohydrates increase the insulin level and this is one of the causes for those unaesthetic pimples and blackheads.

On the other hand if your diet is low on fats, your skin will become dry. People with dry skin have more wrinkles. Although a low fat diet is the key to a slim figure, reducing your fat intake too much will cause your skin to get dry. But there are some methods to keep your body slim and your skin perfect like eating more olive oil and more fish. The fats contained by these products are healthy and will not alter your shape.

Our skin has another big enemy: cigarettes. Not only smoking dries your skin but it also restricts blood vessels and your skin stops receiving the vitamins it needs to stay healthy. Whenever you want to light a cigarette, think about the effects it has on your beautiful skin.

So my conclusion is that you have to respect three important rules to keep your skin healthy: stop smoking (or at least reduce the amount of cigarettes), eat less carbohydrates and more healthy fats.
